Phaneesh Murthy, CEO, iGATE Corporation is a well known thought leader in the offshore outsourcing space. He has pioneered innovative business models as well as service offerings in technology and process outsourcing. He brings over two decades of experience in structuring and managing large outsourcing deals for Fortune 500 companies. He is credited with the turnaround of iGATE from a predominantly staffing firm to a software solutions provider with a large India presence.

He was formerly with Infosys as a member of the Board, Worldwide Head of Sales and Marketing, and Head of Communications and Product Solutions group. He was responsible for ramping up the company from around $2mn in 1992 to around $700 mn in 10 years. Phaneesh has considerable expertise in growing large organizations and putting in place the infrastructure to scale.

Phaneesh is also one of the few people who have been party to dual listings in different markets in two separate organizations. Phaneesh worked in the product space in Sonata prior to Infosys and holds a Masters Degree from Indian Institute of Management, Ahmedabad and a Bachelors Degree in Engineering from Indian Institute of Technology, Chennai.
