Shankar Rao has been with UnitedHealth Group since January, 2004. As Vice President, Information Technology, Shankar manages an Application Solution Center around the Facets Administrative System platform for the enterprise.

Prior to this role, Shankar served as Chief Information Officer for OptumHealth Specialty Benefits a division of UnitedHealth Group.

Shankar has over 25 years of experience in the healthcare information technology field in the provider, payer and healthcare services spaces. He has an MBA from the Peter F. Drucker School of Management.
