Gillian R. Hayes is an Assistant Professor in the Donald Bren School of Information and Computer Sciences at the University of California at Irvine where she directs the Social and Technological Action Research Group. Her research interests are in human-computer interaction, specifically in the areas of ubiquitous computing, computer supported cooperative work, and health informatics. Dr. Hayes is currently working on several initiatives with the UCI Medical Center as part of the Institute for Clinical and Translational Science as well as continuing her work in technologies chronic disease management and autism and special education. Professor Hayes completed her Ph.D. in computer science and human-computer interaction at the Georgia Institute of Technology, where she was the recipient of the IBM Ph.D. Fellowship, Google Anita Borg Memorial Scholarship, and Georgia Tech President's Fellowship.
