impact of network-centric organizations on firm strategy, and the information-economics of electronic communications
Robert Plice is Assistant Professor on the faculty of the Information and Decision Systems Department. His research deals with issues surrounding the economic impact of information systems on firms and industries. He has authored papers on B2B exchanges, payoffs from IT investment, and the economics of unwanted commercial e-mail. He teaches courses covering information-system technology and the design of business information systems.
Prior to joining SDSU, Dr. Plice had an industry career as an IT manager, designer and consultant. He serves on the SDSU committee planning the ICT initiative, and acts as faculty adviser to the SDSU student chapter of the Association of Information Technology Professionals.
