Jason Dedrick is an Associate Professor at Syracuse University. Before taking the position at Syracuse, he was a Senior Research Fellow at the Center for Research on Information Technology and Organizations (CRITO), at the University of California, Irvine. His research interests include economic development, industrial policy, technology diffusion, and the globalization of the computer industry. He holds a Ph.D. in Management from the University of California, Irvine.
Dr. Dedrick's current work is focused on the international diffusion of computer production and use. He is particularly interested in the environmental and policy factors influencing the patterns of diffusion in individual countries and globally. He has done earlier work on the computer sector in Mexico, and has been working on twelve Asia-Pacific countries for the past five years.
