Rob
Kling Memorial Fellowship

The
Rob Kling Memorial Fellowship Fund is being established to honor Dr.
Kling's memory and his many contributions to computing, and to recognize
the foundation he helped build that is now the Donald Bren School of
Information and Computer Sciences.
In addition to his impact globally, Dr. Kling is regarded as a true
pioineer at UC Irvine. His vision shaped the ICS Department's engagement
with social, organizational and economic aspects of computing, which
has contributed to the Bren School's recently formalized undergraduate
degree in Informatics. His tireless efforts cemented ICS' reputation
as a leader in the social aspects of computerization. For those efforts,
and so many more, the Bren School of ICS is establishing this fund to
support exceptional graduate students, who will continue to push the
frontiers that Dr. Kling first explored.
