The study "Innovation and Job Creation in a Global Economy: The Case of Apple's iPod" by Greg Linden, Jason Dedrick and Kenneth L. Kraemer finds that while the iPod device supports twice as many jobs abroad as in the US, the total wages paid in the US are more than twice as high. Findings from this study were recently cited in the BusinessWeek article Mapping the iPod Economy.
